The Busiest Summer Award goes to Denise Downey - an exhibition of her jewellery in Wrights Restaurant in the hugely impressive IFSC on Monday night resulted in a flood of orders, many of them from brides-to-be. Denise, who specialises in fanciful tiaras and pearl-clustered chokers, will be up to her eyes in beads in the months to come, when she's not cooking that is - Denise is also a caterer who won the contract to cater for The Verve concert at Slane this summer.

She confided that she started making jewellery after admiring a pair of earrings worn by Cher: "I knew I couldn't buy them so I thought I'd better make them." Both she and her sister Caroline Downey Desmond were wearing outfits by Kim Gilbert, partner of Michael Wright. Michael, who set up the hugely successful Bloody Stream bar and restaurant in Howth, has recently taken over the IFSC restaurant, keeping it all in the family.
