Islamabad - Afghanistan's Taleban Islamic militia yesterday captured the key opposition stronghold of Maimana, provincial capital of north-west Faryab province, and advanced on other strategic towns, independent sources said. They said the fighters took the town after two days of fighting with forces of the Uzbek warlord, Gen Abdul Rashid Dostum.
