Two due in court over €2.1 million drugs seizure

Two men are to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Tuesday morning charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis and cocaine worth an estimated €2.1 million.

Gardaí seized the cannabis resin, herb and cocaine in north Dublin on Saturday.

About 300 kilos of cannabis resin, 8 kilos of cannabis herb and 1 kilo of cocaine were discovered during the planned search of a premises in Donaghmede Park, Dublin 13.

Two men, aged 25 and 52 years, were arrested at the scene and were at Coolock and Clontarf Garda Stations.

The scene was preserved and technically examined.
