Climber taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment for head and back injuries

A man in his 20s was airlifted to hospital yesterday after he fell while climbing on Bray Head, Co Wicklow.

He was climbing on the Greystones side of Bray Head with a group of friends when the incident happened at around 4pm. The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for treatment for head and back injuries.

Irish Rail services were suspended between Bray and Greystones for a time while emergency services attended at the scene.
