UN - Iraq and the UN have signed a memorandum extending the oil-for-food programme, a UN spokesman said last night. The deal will allow Iraq to export oil until November 30th.
Oil exports have been suspended since June 4th. Iraqi ambassador Mr Mohammed Aldouri said the resumption of oil exports was imminent: "Oil will flow soon. Perhaps as early as tomorrow morning."
