Gardai in Clare have launched an investigation following the death this weekend of an 11-month-old baby girl who sustained serious head injuries in a collision involving a car and a tractor/trailer unit earlier this week.
The collision occurred at Shanaway, Miltown Malbay at 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
The baby was taken to Cork University Hospital where she died yesterday morning.
