Intruder crashes car into RTE building

A man in his 50s was arrested last night after crashing his car into the main reception of RTE in Montrose.

A man in his 50s was arrested last night after crashing his car into the main reception of RTE in Montrose.

Gardai from Donnybrook after the incident which happened at 11.00pm.

He is due beofre Dublin District Court tomorrow at 10.30 am to face criminal damage charges.

The man drove his car through the car park barriers and drove up to the main reception and crashing in to the revolving doors of the main building.

The Tubridy Tonightshow which was airs live had just ended at the time. Presenter Ryan Tubriddy was in the reception time.

There was no disruption to the broadcast or any services.

It is the second intruder incident at the national broadcaster in recent weeks.

The Late Late Show was disrupted last Friday week when a man came on to the set and verbally abused presenter Pat Kenny live on air.
