Research by the Information Society Commission (ISC) shows women have greater confidence in information technology than men.

A big majority - 80 per cent - of working women believe technology will benefit their lives, compared with 62 per cent of men. Women, however, are more likely to feel uncomfortable around computers, with only 8 per cent using the Internet compared with 14 per cent of men.

The ISC has an information stand with Internet access at the Women's World Show which runs until tomorrow at the RDS in Ballsbridge, Dublin.
