London - An inquest was opened yesterday on the former child star Lena Zavaroni who died after undergoing brain surgery aimed at helping her to beat anorexia. Zavaroni (35) died at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, last Friday evening after contracting an infection following neuro-surgery at the hospital on September 7th, the inquest heard.
