Man pleads not guilty to 2004 murder
A 61-year-old Scottish man has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to the murder of a Waterford woman two years ago.
Samuel Jennings, who lived in Ashtown, Kilmacthomas in Waterford, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mary Walsh (54) of Glendalligan, Kilrossanty on a date unknown between August 30th and September 1st, 2004.
The body of the mother of two was found in the boot of a car on September 1st .
A jury of 10 men and two women has been sworn in to hear the case, which is due to start tomorrow with Mr Justice Barry White presiding.
Nally retrial date set for December
A date has been set for the trial of Co Mayo farmer Pádraig Nally charged with shooting dead father of 11 John "Frog" Ward.
Mr Nally (62) of Funshinagh Cross, Claremorris allegedly killed the Traveller at his farm on October 14th, 2004.
He was in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin to hear the date for his trial being fixed for December 4th this year.
Cobh murder trial date is set
A date has been set for the trial of a 21-year-old man charged with the murder of 19-year-old Cobh woman Sheola Keaney.
Thomas Kennedy of Russell Heights, Cobh, Co Cork is due to go on trial for the murder of the teenager at Newtown, Cobh on July 14th this year.
December 5th was set as a date for the trial at the Central Criminal Court, sitting in Cork.
