The 24-year-old hotel worker found dead at Jurys Inn in Limerick yesterday died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the results of a post mortem.

A 26-year-old man is being questioned as part of the murder investigation into Ms Dillon death. He was arrested yesterday under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. The Garda say they are following a definite line of inquiry.

Ms Grainne Dillon’s body was discovered in the kitchen of the Jurys Inn on Dock Road in Limerick city centre at around 6 a.m. yesterday. She was a native of Cork city.

The man in custody is understood to be a foreign national.
