Gardai in Limerick are investigating the death of a homeless man who was admitted to hospital last night suffering from 70-degree burns.

The man, aged about 40, was found in the Watergate flats area of the city at around 6.30 p.m. He was taken to the regional hospital where he died shortly afterwards. Gardai are keeping an open mind about the incident. A post mortem is to be carried out.
