Home of drugs accused burnt

The home of an alleged drugs dealer was destroyed in an arson attack just hours before he appeared in court

The home of an alleged drugs dealer was destroyed in an arson attack just hours before he appeared in court. Mr William Simpson fled from his blazing bungalow in Eglinton, Co Derry, with his wife and daughters. Detectives believe Mr Simpson's car was deliberately set on fire and that strong winds fanned the flames towards the bungalow, which was destroyed.

Mr Simpson appeared on remand at Limavady Magistrates Court yesterday on three drugs charges. He was remanded on continuing bail to September 19th.
