An intensive home holidays campaign will take place between April 28th and May 3rd, the Minister for State at the Department of Tourism and Trade, Mr Toddy O'Sullivan, announced yesterday.
More than £1 million is being spent this year to persuade more Irish people to holiday at home, he said. The "Rediscover Ireland Week" is being sponsored by Guinness.
