The Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht, Mr Higgins, was yesterday accused of "scandalous neglect" of the National Library by the Fianna Fail spokeswoman on arts and culture, Ms Sile de Valera TD.
It was a disgrace that the library was not open every morning from Monday to Saturday, she said.
