Trieste - Italian doctors in Trieste have carried out an operation to turn a five-year-old child, born with some female and male sex organs, into a boy.
"A variety of different factors were taken into consideration for the choice of which sex should prevail," said Dr Eberardo Chiella and Dr Luigi Paduano, who carried out the nine-hour operation.
