Construction materials distributor Heiton has announced the acquisition of Wright Window Systems.
Based in Milltownpass, Co Westmeath, Wright Window Systems is a producer of windows and external doors.
Initially Heitons will acquire 55 per cent of the share capital of Wright’s for €5.45 million.
Heitons said the purchase will be funded from the company's internal resources and is expected to be earnings enhancing in the first year after the deal.
Wrights, which was established in 1970, supplies both the residential and commercial markets with its products, 90 per cent of which are sold on a supply-and-fit basis.
Mr Paul Lynch, Heitons Corporate Development Director, will assume direct responsibility for the business and will succeed the current managing director on her retirement following a transition period post-acquisition.
