COUNTERFEIT MEDICINES: "Buying medicines over the internet is dangerous. You have no idea if the medicine you are buying is counterfeit or genuine," warns Con Clissmann, president of the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), which represents the pharmaceutical industry in Ireland. Clissmann also welcomes the recent European Parliament resolution calling on the European Commission to take a more pivotal role in the battle against counterfeit medicines.
