The Higher Education Authority announcement of the latest round of funding under a Government-sponsored research programme has been postponed due to the foot-and-mouth crisis. The public event, which would have brought senior representatives from all the third-level research institutions, was scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Berkeley Court Hotel, Dublin. The funding is part of the HEA-run Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions, which has already provided more than £200 million.
