Animal lovers worldwide have offered a home to a seven-year-old German Shepherd described as "the most unfortunate dog in Britain" by the RSPCA.
Yogi was born with a jutting-out lower jaw - which makes his bottom row of teeth stick out - and his unusual looks meant he was overlooked by potential new owners during his four months at the charity's centre at St Columb Major, near Newquay, Cornwall.
Some people were even overheard saying: "What is wrong with that dog, he is ugly."
But all that changed when the RSPCA issued an appeal - and a picture - for people to consider taking in Yogi, who is said to be playful and friendly despite his pugnacious looks.
The RSPCA centre's deputy manager, Mr Andy MacMillan said today: "Yogi has gone global - we have taken calls about him from France, Spain and the United States, and there has been interest from Canada."
The RSPCA are currently carrying out home checks on two homes in Cornwall, said Mr MacMillan.
"One man was waiting on our doorstep yesterday morning before we had even opened - he was the first to see him. Then another man came to see him, and brought his wife along today," he said.
"They think Yogi is brilliant," said Mr MacMillan, adding: "Everyone who phones up having seen his picture does not think he is ugly."
Yogi was first taken in by the RSPCA two years ago when his family could not cope with his size. Then he was happily re-homed with a couple - only to be returned to the charity when the husband fell ill and his wife could cope.
Mr MacMillan said Yogi was prone to loneliness and did not like to be left alone - but now it looks as though his life is going to change for the better again when his new owner is chosen early next week.
