Gunmen killed nine people and wounded two in a bakery in eastern Baghdad this morning.
Police said some of the bakery staff were among those killed in the attack in the Zayouna district of the capital, where both Sunni Arabs and Shias and other groups live.
Sectarian violence and insurgent attacks kill hundreds of people a week in Baghdad, and the Iraqi government has struggled to assert the credibility of its security forces as militias and other armed groups have gained sway.
