Santiago - Chile's ex-dictator, Gen Augusto Pinochet, yesterday marked his 86th birthday with a lunch for 200 people at his country estate west of Santiago.
"He asked us to hold a very sober, very simple celebration," said Gen Luis Cortes Villa, who heads the Pinochet Foundation. On Saturday, a handful of relatives and supporters prayed for Gen Pinochet's health at a mass at a military chapel in Santiago.
