Ten young men are due in a Co Louth court today following a serious affray in Dundalk town in which two gardaí last night suffered head injuries.
The men face charges in connection with assault and public order offences at Ardee District Court.
The brawl took place on Earl Street just after 10 p.m., and the ages of those involved ranged from 16 to 20. The injured gardaí were taken to hospital for treatment.
