Gang of four attacks man in Clondalkin house

A man in his twenties was seriously injured when a four-person gang broke into his Dublin house and assaulted him last night.

A man in his twenties was seriously injured when a four-person gang broke into his Dublin house and assaulted him last night.

The attack took place at Neilstown Drive, Clondalkin, at 11.40 p.m. Three men and a woman smashed a glass panel to enter the house.

The victim (29) suffered serious head injuries after being beaten with a golf club. He was also stabbed in the neck and stomach.

Two cars in the front of the house were damaged during the incident.

The victim is being treated in Tallaght Hospital. Gardaí at Ronanstown are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
