Galway will meet either Limerick or Antrim in the under-21 All-Ireland hurling final after recording a 10 point victory over Wexford in today’s semi-final at Semple Stadium.

Midfielder Ger Farragher was the star of the show after recording 13 points. His remarkable accuracy from dead-ball situations had Wexford constantly searching for answers.

Rory Jacob found the net for Wexford in the first half but their opponents took a comfortable 0-11 to 1-2 lead into the break.

Hopes of a Wexford revival were killed off early in the second half when Adrian Cullinane beat ‘keeper Matt White for a fine goal.

Despite chasing a sizeable Galway lead, Wexford, to their credit, battled admirably but found it difficult to beat the excellent Adrian Diviney between the Galway posts.

Michael Coughlan rattled over two fine scores from play as Galway ran out comfortable winners.
