A man who robbed two video stores of £2,000 worth of cash and equipment has been jailed for four years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Andrew Flynn (25), of Drumcairn Gardens, Tallaght, admitted robbing two Tallaght branches of Xtra-Vision on dates in 1997 and 1998. Det Garda Fergus O'Donnell said Flynn had threatened a shop assistant with a knife.

Judge Michael White said he wanted to hold out some hope for Flynn and set a review date for November 1st, 2000.
