Four people were taken to hospital in Belfast earlier this morning suffering from stab wounds following an incident in the south of the city.

The incident occurred on Cromwell Road in early hours and is understood to have involved a number of people. Police are understood to have arrested one man.

The most serious had three stab wounds in the back. His condition is said to be stable. The others are said to be in a stable condition in hospital.
