Showers will persist tomorrow morning, but there will be some good dry periods also with bright or sunny spells, and winds will continue to decrease. Temperatures will drop back to around normal or a little below. Later tomorrow, showers will largely die out and the early part of the night will be dry and cold, with a sharp ground frost and perhaps icy patches for a time. Fog and mist will develop. However, early on Sunday, heavy rain will spread into the south-west, preceded by strengthening winds. Sunday will be a mild but very windy day with strong to gale-force southerly winds. Rain will be widespread and quite heavy at times. Further spells of rain likely during Monday and Tuesday and again some heavy bursts are likely. As much as two or three inches of rain may fall during this period - bringing a high risk of renewed flooding. Winds will remain strong throughout, but still coming from a mild southerly direction.
