Four people have been arrested in Northern Ireland following a series of planned searches in Belfast today.

Four people have been arrested in Northern Ireland following a series of planned searches in Belfast today.

The three men and one women were arrested when police found a "significant quantity" of ammunition and bomb making equipment.

A police spokesman said a number of cannabis plants along with cultivation and maufacturing equipment were also seized.

The finds have been linked to dissident republicans.

The four are being held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
