Zurich - The former Swiss president, Mr Jean-Pascal Delamuraz, who made headlines by describing as "blackmail" Jewish demands for quick compensation to Holocaust survivors, has died aged 62, the government said yesterday.
It did not give a cause of death, but Mr Delamuraz's poor health forced him to step down as economics minister in March.
