A fire at the Vale View Hotel in Avoca, County Wicklow, has been brought under control.
The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen at around 7.45 a.m. Fire brigades from Rathdrum, Arklow, and Wicklow were called to put out the blaze.
Wicklow and Arklow fire brigades have since left the scene and so far the extent of the damage is unknown.
The hotel has strong links with Charles Stewart Parnell, who lived nearby.
