Emergency services are dealing with what is being described as a major fire at an apartment block in New Ross, Co Wexford.
A Garda spokesman said several units of the fire brigade were attending the blaze in the town's North Quay area.
It is unclear, at this stage, how or when the fire started or if the apartment block has been evacuated.
There are no reports of any injuries. Major traffic delays in and around the town are expected this evening as firefighters attempt to tackle the blaze.
