Emergency services have brought a fire at a petrol station at in Co Wexford under control this evening.

Emergency services have brought a fire at a petrol station at in Co Wexford under control this evening.

The fire broke out shortly after 3pm at the filling station in Ballywilliam, about 10 kilometres from New Ross.

A 12-year-old girl was brought to hospital with burns and a number of other bystanders were treated at the scene for shock.

The petrol station, which comprises a shop and a post office, was badly damaged.
