Gardai have said a fire, which broke out near a pet food plant in Kilkenny in the early hours of this morning, has been brought under control and no one has been injured.
Six fire crews from counties Kilkenny and Carlow attended the blaze, which broke out at about 2am in a building beside Connolly's Red Mills animal foods plant in Goresbridge, Co Kilkenny.
It is understood the fire, which was brought under control at about 5am, started in a shed which contained a large amount of pallets and then spread to a pet food store beside the main premises of the animal foods plant.
