The Garda Ombudsman Commission has forwarded a file to the DPP following the death of a man who became unwell during an incident with gardaí. William Kavanagh (58) of Edenmore Crescent , Raheny, Dublin, was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, on June 5th, 2009. Garda Ombudsman Commissioner Carmel Foley told Dublin City Coroner’s Court that the file was sent to the DPP on May 17th. The coroner adjourned the inquest until a date in August.
