The Sinn Féin TD for North Kerry, Mr Martin Ferris, has been cleared at Tralee District Court of a number of public order offences.
He was charged with using threatening, abusive and insulting words or behaviour near Knocknagoshel in Co Kerry on April 15th.
The case was dismissed for lack of satisfactory evidence.
In March 1997, Mr Ferris successfully appealed against a three-month prison sentence imposed in Tralee District Court for abusive language and provoking a breach of the peace on October 29th, 1995, when being interviewed by gardaí outside his home.
