ROME - Sierra Leone will need substantial food aid after a coup last month, the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) said yesterday.

The Rome based agency said in a news alert that supply was tight as most shops and markets in the West African country remained closed after a violent coup on May 25th by the rebel army leader, Mr Johnny Paul Koroma.
