Nairobi - Rwanda's exiled opposition yesterday denounced the public executions of 22 people sentenced to death for genocide as "seriously compromising" prospects for peace in the central African nation. The Forces of Resistance for Democracy said in a statement signed by former interior minister Seth Sendashonga that "instead of serving to teach respect for life, these executions are proof that the regime is trivialising the annihilation of life".
