A former prisoner who stalked a female occupational therapist has been remanded for consideration of a psychiatric report. Thomas Quirke (31), of Salvation Army Hostel, York Street, Dublin 2, pleaded guilty to harassing the woman between May 20th and 26th last year.

Quirke was further remanded to February 16th at Dublin District Court on condition that he sign on daily at a Garda station and stay away from the injured party.

The court had heard Quirke first became fixated with the woman 13 years ago and, after being released from prison last April, called repeatedly to the home of her parents.
