New York - An ex-Kremlin aide close to Russian President Putin was denied bail a second time yesterday by a US judge following his arrest in New York last week on a Swiss warrant charging him with money-laundering.

Mr Pavel Borodin, the man credited by Mr Putin with introducing him to the presidential administration, will remain in custody until at least February 5th.
