Addis Ababa - Ethiopia said yesterday that 20 people were killed, a further 20 wounded and 5,000 people were displaced by Eritrean forces which invaded the country's northern territory.
Eritrea admitted last week that its forces had engaged Ethiopia in a battle over territory but insisted it was merely retaking land which its neighbour had grabbed six month ago.
