A 79-year-old man was killed last night when he was hit by a car while cycling near Thurles, Co Tipperary.
The collision happened at 6.45 p.m. at Kilcooley, Gortnahoe.
The man, who has not yet been named, died at the scene. He was removed to Cashel Hospital.
