Elan and its partner Wyeth this morning announced that they have recently been issued a further three patents for their joint research on a treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
In 2000, Elan and Wyeth formed a collaboration to discover, develop and commercialize immunotherapeutic approaches to treat and prevent Alzheimer's disease
The companies already hold licences on over 50 US patents for the treatment of Alzheimer's using an immunotherapy approach.
