Mr Denis O’Brien’s eIsland consortium announced today its offer for Eircom has been accepted by 1.5 per cent of eligible shareholders.
EIsland said it received valid acceptances in respect of 33,306,314 by the offer deadline of last Friday.
The consortium said its offer will now be extended and remains open for acceptance until September 28th, 2001, unless extended further.
