The fourth and final visiting speaker in Cork Institute of Technlogy's visiting speaker lecture series takes place this afternoon from 3 to 5pm, in the Exam Hall (upstairs D block).
Sara Cantillon, one of the foremost authorities on gender issues and equality in Ireland, will give the lecture on Gender Equality and Inequality within Irish Households: Material Resources, Sharing Access to Leisure Time and Social Activities. Admission to the lecture is free and all are welcome.

NUI Maynooth Chain Reaction Lecture Series
Chain Reaction is a series of public science lectures aimed at a broad audience, but particularly at students studying science subjects for Leaving Certificate.

DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama Open Day
The DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama is holding an open day on Saturday, March 12th from 11am to 3pm in DIT Rathmines Road. Information will be available on the conservatory's wide range of programmes, which are on offer to people of all ages. Activities will include individual performances by students of various instruments as well as ensemble performances. Staff will be on hand to demonstrate instruments and to answer any queries from parents and potential students.
Be a BA Student for a Day at UCD
The UCD Faculty of Arts is hosting the BA Student for a day open day at UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4 on Saturday March 12th from 10am to 4pm.
The open day, which takes place in the John Henry Newman Building (the arts building) at UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4, aims to display the many facets of UCD's BA degree programme, allowing any interested members of the public to attend a variety of lectures.
