"WE HEAR so much about the Internet these days in the media but rarely see it discussed in the context of education," says Gerard Morgan, a part-time lecturer in St Patrick's College, Maynooth, who teaches H.Dip students about technology in teaching.
"Hundreds of schools have gone on-line recently. However most schools are still finding their feet with this new resource," he says.
Morgan is also a project officer in the NCVA, Marino, Dublin, and a member of the national executive of the Computer Education Society of Ireland (CESI) and the Educational Media Association of Ireland (EMAI). He has compiled a short list of Irish and international Web sites which would give teachers a good starting point for exploration.
