CERT is taking a roadshow to 36 locations around the State, beginning on November 8th. A panel of young people working in the industry will talk to second-level students and answer queries. This should give students a chance to ask about the downside as well as the upside of working in the tourism industry.
The panel will be chaired by a CERT representative and there will be representatives from the RAI and the IHF on hand to answer any queries. Students will also be taken on a tour behind the scenes in a hotel.
Schools have been circularised about the relevant dates and locations for their area. If the date is not suitable for the school, guidance counsellors can contact CERT and a representative will come to the school to talk about career opportunities.
