A Dutch national, Mr Wilrik Schippers (38), Byvank, Vrooms-hoop, Holland, appeared before Navan District Court yesterday charged with possession of £8 million worth of amphetamines and cocaine.
He was also charged with having the drugs for sale. The offences are alleged to have occurred at Moyvalley, Co Kildare on November 7th. Bail was refused and the defendant was remanded in custody to appear in Kells District Court this morning. Mr Paul Kenny, Ashbourne Road, Duleek, Co Meath is also due before the same court charged with similar offences.
