Two Dublin men were remanded in custody at a special sitting of Kanturk District Court yesterday, after being charged with stealing £12,610 from the Irish Permanent in Tralee, Co Kerry on Tuesday.

Insp Michael Keogh objected to bail for Mr Stephen Early (28) of Fatima Mansions, Dublin and Mr Terry Jenkins (26), of Isolde Road, Ringsend, Dublin, saying there were bench warrants out for them in Dublin.

Judge Mac Gruairc remanded them to appear at Midleton District Court today.
