Gardai in Mayo have seized cannabis worth an estimated €140,000 at a house in Co Mayo.
A planned search was carried out yesterday on the house close to Moygowna, near Crossmolina, gardai confirmed.
Some 420 cannabis plants, a watering system and electrical equipment used for growing and processing the drug were found in the search. No arrests have been made.
Separately, gardai in Dublin have seized cannabis worth about €28,000 and cocaine worth €3,500 after a search on a house.
A pistol and ammunition were also seized during the planned search at the Cleggan Avenue area of Ballyfermot last night.
The search took place as part of an ongoing operation targeting serious crime in the Ballyfermot area, a Garda statement said.
A 50-year-old man was arrested.
He is currently being detained in Ballyfermot Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
Elswewhere, A 21-year-old British woman is due to appear in Dublin District Court this afternoon in connection with the seizure of heroin at Dublin airport earlier today.
The woman was arrested after arriving in Dublin on a flight from Amsterdam. Six pellets of heroin with an estimated street value of E50,000 were found on the woman.
Customs officers at Dublin Airport have seized over €6 million worth of drugs this year.
